Memorize-the-Bible.com is a free, privately funded site run by Dean Brown. There are no ads, no ad or tracking networks, no accounts, and no paid features. I do not sell, rent, or trade anyone’s information.

What is collected

  • Contact form: your name, email address, and message. The form is handled by Formspree, a service that delivers messages to me by email. I use them only to reply to you.
  • Email subscriptions: if you subscribe, WordPress.com/Jetpack stores your email address so new posts can be sent to you. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
  • Comments: if you leave a comment, your name, email address, comment, and IP address are stored. Comments are checked for spam by Akismet. If you have a Gravatar profile, your picture may appear next to your comment.
  • Site statistics: Jetpack Stats counts visits and popular pages. I see totals, such as views, visitors, and countries, not who you are.
  • Hosting: the site runs on WordPress.com (Automattic), which keeps standard server logs for security and reliability. Fonts, images, and statistics are served through WordPress.com’s own services.

Games and tools

The games and study tools save your scores, settings, progress, and any player or team names you enter in your own browser’s local storage. That information stays on your device and is never sent to me or anyone else. The games use no cookies, accounts, forms, or analytics. They do not ask for your age or email address, and the kids’ games ask for nothing at all. Clearing your browser’s site data will erase your saved progress.

Read-aloud

Some games can read text aloud using your browser’s built-in voice. In some browsers that voice is an online service (for example, Google or Microsoft), which may receive the text being read. This is only the game’s own text, never anything you have typed.

Cookies

WordPress.com and Jetpack, which run the site itself, use cookies for statistics, security, and remembering your comment details and subscription choices. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings.

Children

The games do not ask children for any personal information. Children should ask a parent before using the contact form or subscribing. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent me information, please contact me and I will delete it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You can also ask me to delete your messages, subscription, or comments through the Contact page.

Other sites

Some pages link to other websites or downloadable files. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
