About the game

What if people in the Bible could post about what was happening to them? The Scroll is a feed of imagined posts by Bible people. Read each post, open the comments for clues, and work out who posted it, when it was, and what happened next. The posts are imagined retellings in modern words: they add nothing the Bible does not say, and no post is written as God or Jesus.

There are three ways to play. The Feed asks who, when and what next, Timeline asks you to put five posts in order, and Who Commented? asks you to name the hidden commenter. Choose posts from the whole Bible or one Testament, and a level: Teens (well-known people, 3 choices) or Adults (everyone, 4 choices). Two players can take turns on one device, and the posts can be read aloud.

Study the Scroll shows every post, from the garden to the early church, with nothing hidden: who posted, the comments, what happened next, and the verse in the King James Version. Following builds a profile for each Bible person whose posts you’ve met.
